Junior Account Manager

As a Junior Account Manager, you’ll begin with direct customer interactions, gaining hands-on experience in sales and a solid foundation in Verizon Wireless products and acquisition strategies. This initial phase equips each Junior Account Manager with essential knowledge to transition into strategic account management, focusing on customer retention, growth opportunities, and mentorship.
Essential Functions Of The Junior Account Manager:
- Engage directly with prospective residential Verizon Wireless customers to drive sales and achieve KPIs as laid out by Verizon
- Establish strong, ongoing relationships with new clients as their primary point of contact for Verizon Wireless services
- Conduct personalized needs assessments and recommend tailored wireless solutions, including upgrade opportunities
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by resolving inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively
- Expand existing client accounts through strategic cross-selling and upselling of additional products and services
- Monitor account performance and client engagement data to identify trends and assist with reporting on growth metrics
- Participate in leadership development programs to gain foundational skills in coaching and mentoring future associates
- Provide feedback from client interactions to management, contributing to improved account strategies and overall quality adherence

Education And Experience Needed For The Junior Account Manager:
- High School Diploma or GED is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, retail, customer service, or other client-facing roles demonstrating solid communication and problem-solving skills
- Entry-level candidates with leadership potential and a drive for rapid career growth in client account management are welcome
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and engage across diverse customer profiles
- Basic proficiency in computer applications and a readiness to learn CRM systems and account management tools
- Self-motivated, competitive, and eager to grow in a fast-paced sales environment
This is a commission-based role with no limit on earnings. Listed earnings reflect what's typical for successful team members in commissioned compensation.
